Norskog has (as sub-consultant for the Norwegian Forest and Landscape Institute) since September 2010 the management and coordinator mission to develop a syllabus

for a set of courses and educational resources for executives and managers within “RED+ MRV and Monitoring” for FAO (Climate, Energy and Tenure Division at the Natural Resources Management and Environment Department) in Rome, Italy.

This mission includes preparing a meeting in Cancun, Mexico (Nov. 2010), a pilot course for FAO staff in Rome, Italy (Mar. 2011) and a course for Executives and Managers in Morogoro, Tanzania (11-15 July 2011 – for persons coming from all Africa, but also Peru and Vietnam).

The objectives of the project are also to develop a medium term (5-year) educational plan for UNREDD, identify partners and potential training locations and to initiate the creation of a network of partners and teachers. The next Executive course are planned to be held in Brasilia, Brazil in October 2011.
